Today is Betty White‘s 90th birthday. Amongst her many accomplishments, they include 7 acting Emmy awards and the longest span of time between Emmy nominations, and the oldest person ever to be nominated, (she’s nominated this year.) She’s also listed as the oldest person to host Saturday Night Live, thanks to an online Facebook Petition. Betty is also an honorary forest ranger and was awarded an honorary degree and white doctors coat by Washington State University (making her an honorary cougar) for all her work with animal rescue, an issue she champions.
I absolutely love her. She’s always been thoughtful, kind, and funny. Hats of to Betty on her birthday.
“I don’t care who anybody sleeps with. If a couple has been together all that time — and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones — I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.” — Betty White
