Hehe. This is the second day of my Seattle Trip. It’s been wonderful. I got to go to my favorite pizza place in the world – Serious Pie. Then got to hang out with some friends. It’s been a great trip so far. I love this quote because this is really how I feel about Seattle. Today will bring new adventures and probably some rain-soaked ones. For the record, as a true North-westerner, I don’t believe in umbrellas. 🙂
I actually like this weather. I like the rain. What I like about Seattle is that people are so used to the rain that they still do stuff. They don’t stay indoors, take antidepressants, and read novels. They just go out and get wet. – Augusten Burroughs

I have very little experience with Northwestern rainy weather, but I think this quote speaks to life, too. It’s really easy when life gets “rainy” to want to withdraw into a shell… to stay in and pop anti-depressants and hide from the world. But there’s something very courageous about going ahead, stepping out into the rain and getting wet. It may be uncomfortable, but the adventures, the experiences will be worth it in the end. Imagine all the things in life you’d have missed if you’d have stayed home…
