Quote of the Day – Kurt Vonnegut on Laughter

I was in a conversation on twitter yesterday with a very nasty and pretentious woman. She was eager to butt into a conversation not of her making, with no idea who the participants were, and proceeded to be vengeful and abrasive when faced with the slightest hint of push back to her commentary. She immediately went on the attack; her efforts to demean, belittle and “one up” the conversation – all while promoting a potential “New Public Access” television show, immediately showed me the two things I didn’t like about her…

…Her Face. — So today’s quote, my dear woman, is for you:

This is a hard world to be ludicrous in, with so many human beings so reluctant to laugh, so incapable of thought, so eager to believe and snarl and hate. – Kurt Vonnegut

  1. Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers. His satiric style never ceases to bring a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing quotes and wonderful photos. I for one am a quotes whore. I love reading things that other people have said. Maybe in hopes that one day I will say something half as profound as they have…..

    1. I love quotes as well – It’s amazing that you can find a little piece of inspiration for your day through someone else’s words – I find extreme comfort in that. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I’m pleased you’re enjoying the posts!
