I opened my tweet stream, sadly, to find that Thomas Kinkade has passed away. I’ve always found his work soft and with great vision. As the “painter of light” he was dubbed the master of capturing the light just as it should be. Today’s quote is on “Artists”
‘Tis well – but, Artists! who can paint or write,
To draw the naked is your true delight:
That robe of quality so struts and swells,
None see what parts of nature it conceals.
Th’ exactest traits of body or of mind,
We owe to models of an humble kind. – Alexander Pope
