Quote of the Day – Ann Landers on Using Your Head

Today in history, the guillotine was first used in Paris, France (1792) – Of course, the first thing that came to mind was: “Now isn’t a good time to lose your head.” Which is how I made my way to the following quote from one of my two favorite advice columnists. I miss reading Dear Abby and Ann Landers every day. Today’s quote is some great advice.

If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and when it comes, hold your head high, look it squarely in eye and say, ‘I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.’ – Ann Landers
