Quote of the Day – Marshall Lumsden on Freedom of Speech

Of all the rights the Bill of Rights affords us, my most favorite is the Freedom of Speech, running close behind is the right against unreasonable search and State’s Rights not enumerated. I love spirited discussions, I love it when educated people come together with their ideas and stand firm upon them. I just hate when those discussions turn personal. I’m not narrow-minded because I think something contrary to your opinion, I’m at another place in my decision-making process. And, I don’t expect you to agree with me, ever, that’s just not my position as a friend, but I do want you open to information.

At no time is freedom of speech more precious than when a man hits his thumb with a hammer. – Marshall Lumsden
