The essential purpose of astrology … is not so much to tell us what we will meet on our road, as it is to suggest how to meet it — and the basic reason for the meeting. Which quality in us, which type of strength is needed to go through any specific phase of our total unfoldment as an individual person. – Dane Rudhyar
I think astrology is fascinating. It’s fun to read, fun to look at, and it’s smart to know where you’re going.
I believe it is the duty of each of us to act as if the fate of the world depended on him. Admittedly, one man by himself cannot do the job. However, one man can make a difference…. We must live for the future of the human race, and not for our own comfort or success. – Hyman G. Rickover
Thought this was a great quote about how we experience the light.
I’ve been slacking lately… I haven’t been posting a quote and a photo every day. Not because I have stopped enjoying sifting through the great words of others or because I haven’t been taking pictures, I’ve been taking lots! But, because I’ve been getting busier in my daily life. Amazingly, I’ve been going faster and faster and faster still. That’s just how the cookie crumbles. I plan to return to a better posting cycle shortly.
Would you rather just see one quote or photo post a day? Would you rather see them combined?
Something in human nature causes us to start slacking off at our moment of greatest accomplishment. As you become successful, you will need a great deal of self-discipline not to lose your sense of balance, humility, and commitment. – Ross Perot
I’ve said it before, I love words. Words, when chosen carefully can truly describe what you’re looking for, can move you, can drive others, or can help you get through any situation, with the right words. 🙂
Words are one of our chief means of adjusting to all the situations of life. The better control we have of our words, the more successful our adjustment will be. – Bergen Evans
I really love the perception from this photo. From my walk to work this morning, the view down the street caught my eye.
Today’s quote, by Agnes de Mille, is really a simple statement on what we already know to be true. Sometimes we’re too focused on living our life “the right way” instead of living it. Just something to think about.
Living is a form of not being sure, not knowing what next or how. The moment you know how, you begin to die a little. The artist never entirely knows. We guess. We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark. – Agnes de Mille
